February Twilight
by Sara Teasdale

I stood beside a hill
Smooth with new-laid snow,
A single star looked out
From the cold evening glow.

There was no other creature
That saw what I could see—
I stood and watched the evening star
As long as it watched me.

I imagined I could see the star too.

    Beautiful, Jared. :) I love Teasdale's writing.

  3. FGGrrl, it's a genuine February twilight photo, and I debated for about half a second whether I should "create" an evening star, but it would have been in the wrong place in the sky and dishonest, besides, so I think imagining it is just fine, eh?

Nancy, Sara Teasdale is pretty great. Glad you liked it!
